Are launderette facilities available  ?
A small laundry room is on site with a coin operated washing machine and a tumble dryer. £1 coins accepted only. Irons and ironing boards are in each of our lodges and cottages.

Childrens facilities ?
Cots and high chairs are available free of charge, but please supply your own cot linen. An indoor games area (unsupervised) has a TV, videos, and some games & toys for your children to play with while you relax . Also on site are a couple of Wendy houses, balance beams, swings, giant chess set, draughts set, sand pits and small climbing frame. Plus acres of land and shoreline to explore.

Are pets welcome ?
Pets are welcome in 1 of our lodges (Otter Holt) but not in either the caravans or cottages. Charges are £20 per week per dog. We do not allow more than two pets. Dogs must be kept under strict control at all times and must not be left unattended in the Lodges as any damages will be charged for . Please bring your own pet bedding and under no circumstances allow pets on furniture or beds.There are plenty of forestry walks off lead to explore.

Are discounts available ?
We do offer a couples discount two people (without pets) can reduce amount by £25 per weeks hire or £60 per two week hire. Special offers are available throughout the year on our website.

Can you guarantee good weather ?
We’re good..... but not that good!. What we can offer is a warm and cosy welcome in one of our cottages, caravans or lodges. In each we leave you lots of information about things to do whatever the weather as well as suggested days out from previous visitors. You are most welcome to come and see us at the office , we live on site  and will be happy to share with you our favourite walks and activities.

What if I'm arriving late?
On day of arrival please inform us if you will be arriving later than 6.00pm so arrangements can be made for us to switch on your lodge and leave key in door. We live on site so arrivals can be made at any time.

Is a telephone available ?
There is no public telephone box on site.  We can provide a pay as you go mobile if needed for your stay, most people now have their own mobile phones.The best mobile phone receptions are from Vodafone and O2.

Where can I buy groceries from?
Port Appin community co-op is our closest shop 4 miles away.  Alternatively Munro,s of Benderloch are open 6am – 9pm (9 miles away). Oban has a number of supermarkets, Tesco & Co-op are open Monday - Saturday 8am - 10pm and on Sunday 9am - 6pm. (Times are subject to change). Also available are  Aldi, Lidl and Farmfoods stores.

Will I be charged for electricity/gas?
All utilities are included in the hire charge of our caravans. Lodges and Cottages are charged by meter, read on arrival and departure, calculated at Hydro electric rates. For lodges in a normal week in May - September the charge is approximately £4-£10. From October to end April the charge is approximately £8-£18. Cottages vary between  £10 - £45 depending on time of year.

Do you have a good TV reception?
Yes we have FreeSat boxes in our caravans and lodges and Sky in  our cottage properties. Colour televisions and DVDs are in each unit. Video/DVD hire & film rental available on request.

Are bed linen and towels supplied?
Bed linen is included and beds are made up for arrival. Please bring your own towels or they can be hired at £4 per person.

Can I smoke inside?
Sorry, but in line with Scottish law, smoking is not allowed in any of our units. Feel free to smoke outside.

Is there wireless internet access?
Our games room has wireless internet access. Please request code when you get here.  Charged at £7 per week unlimited access. Beech Tree lodge also receives the signal.

Do I need  cancellation insurance?
Many people have their own annual insurance policy and will not benefit from extra cover. However we recommend if you are not already covered then for extra peace of mind  we can supply the name of a reputable company enabling us to refund you if you are forced to cancel your holiday because of illness. Please request information on insurance when booking.

Are there good pubs and restaurants nearby?
Yes plenty, all of which are listed in the information folder contained within each holiday unit. The nearest pub to the site is the Creagan Inn which is 500 yards away or the Pierhouse Restaurant which is 4 miles away.  Both have fantastic loch views.

The cabin was so cosy and comfortable and we certainly benefited from our first two days just reading, sleeping, eating and looking at the fantastic view from the picture window
